People selling unsuitable horse meat were arrested in Ismayilli.
Oku.Az informs that this was reported by the Press Service of the Ministry of the Interior (MIA).
According to information, Vugar Ziliyev, his relative Khayal Ziliyev and Subhan Ibrahimov, who was engaged in illegal meat slaughter, were detained in Ismayilli, with the participation of experts from the Food Safety Agency.
During the inspection of V. Ziliyev’s home, 450 kilograms of horse meat unfit for consumption were found. The detainees said that they intended to take the useless horse meat to Baku under the name of beef and sell it there. Appropriate samples were taken from the detected meat and during examination it was revealed that the meat was unfit for consumption.
Investigations are ongoing.
