The investigation began a few weeks ago during a routine inspection by the civil guards of the Collado Villalba station, in the premises of “I buy gold” of the municipality. The guards’ suspicions increased when they confirmed that the sellers of the jewelry were a woman and her son who lived in a squatting house and known from the town of Collado Villalba.

Finally, the guards completed the investigation with the arrest of a 51-year-old woman of Romanian origin accused of a crime of flight with force and another of scam. Guards also arrested his 28-year-old son for robbing the old man and charged him with felony receive and another scam. The charge of fraud is due to the fact that they sold part of the stolen jewelry to third parties who paid for it in advance and never received it.
