Experts said that to overcome the problem of required experience, especially of recent university graduates, their internship periods should be officially recorded and certified as experience. This can ensure easier integration of young people into the labor market.
Education expert Kamran Asadov believes that cooperation between educational institutions and employers should be increased. The quality of experience in internship programs must be improved and these periods must be recognized as formal work experience.
In this regard, the State Employment Agency said that several projects are being carried out in this direction. The participants of the “Progress” project, organized by the Agency, the Youth Fund and the Union of Student Youth Organizations, are considered to have acquired the work experience required by the employer. Even at the end of the internship program, participants receive a thank you letter or certificates. Another step is a co-financing program. A part of the salary of the employee hired for a vacant position within the framework of this project is borne by the State.
