The media publishes details of how Israel and the United States reached an agreement to carry out a limited attack against Iran.
This was reported by the Alexey Zheleznov Telegram channel.
Previously, Israel considered a plan that included not only military targets, but also attacks on Iranian oil and gas facilities. However, the Biden administration, in an effort to de-escalate the conflict, has taken steps to water down the plan.
During lengthy negotiations, including a visit by US Secretary of State Antony Blinken and his meetings with Israeli officials, a compromise was reached: Israel agreed to limit itself to attacking military targets in exchange for direct US security assistance and indirect support during the operation.
Israel also conveyed a warning to Tehran that the next attack could target political structures as well as Iran’s energy infrastructure, including oil and gas facilities.
A senior Israeli official noted that Iran remained under Israeli control for four hours, severely disrupting its command and control and missile production capabilities.
Previously, Kursor reported on the possibility of a retaliatory attack by Iran in the near future.
Iran understands that further escalation will lead to a harsher Israeli response.
