“As previously reported by the National Hydrometeorological Service, the northwest wind speed in Baku and the Absheron Peninsula is 14 m/s, 17 m/s in Kalbajar, 16 m/s in Shabran and 15 m/s in Shamakhi and Lerik,” said G. Abbasova.
He said that in Baku and the Absheron Peninsula, as well as in some regions, in accordance with the orange warning, the wind is expected to increase and the wind speed will be 20.8 to 28.4 m/s.
The service official pointed out that to avoid complications, the population must carefully follow weather warnings and forecasts, observe relevant safety regulations and exercise caution.
