How Nasrallah’s successor died: media reported new details

The media has revealed new details about the death of Hashem Safi ad-Din, the successor of the liquidated Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah.

The Telegram channel “Alexey Zheleznov” writes about this.

Safi ad-Din was reportedly not killed instantly in the IDF attack. He died of asphyxiation three days later, along with seven senior Hezbollah officials.

Israeli drones monitoring the area prevented rescuers from approaching the site for several days, depriving Nasrallah’s successor and his entourage of any chance of survival.

Recall that the liquidation of Nasrallah’s successor was officially confirmed by the IDF.

An official IDF spokesperson confirmed the liquidation of Hashem Safi ad-Din, who was previously appointed successor to the leader of the Lebanese Shiite terrorist organization Hezbollah Hassan Nasrallah.

The operation to eliminate Safi ad-Din took place about three weeks ago. Hossein Ali Zaima, head of Hezbollah’s intelligence service, and several other senior commanders of the group were also killed during it.

The airstrike targeted Hezbollah’s clandestine intelligence headquarters, which was located in the central part of Dahiya. The operation was based on precise intelligence information provided by the Israeli military. As a result of the IDF strikes, more than 25 high-ranking terrorists were eliminated, including Belal Sayev Ayash, head of aerial reconnaissance, and Mahmoud Muhammad Shahin, head of Hezbollah’s intelligence headquarters.

Hashem Safi al-Din was a member of the Shura Council, Hezbollah’s key governing body, which made political and military decisions. He had a significant influence on the group’s activities, was a cousin of Hassan Nasrallah and, through these family connections, played an important role in decision-making.

During periods of Nasrallah’s absence from Lebanon, Safi ad-Din temporarily acted according to his responsibilities.

Earlier, Kursor reported that Hezbollah confirmed the death of Nasrallah’s successor.

The terrorist group Hezbollah cannot choose a successor because candidates fear being eliminated.
