How Reuters described Lebanon as a victim

Israel is a country full of contradictions, where every step can provoke a storm of emotions and opinions. Meanwhile, sometimes it is the media’s methods of covering events that cause the most confusion, as demonstrated by the case of the Reuters publication.

The author of the Telegram channel “Max Lurie | Israel”.

In a recent article about Israeli attacks on Lebanon’s border areas, the agency decided to make the main character… a symphony conductor named Lubhan Baalbaki. The find is truly unusual, given that materials about the conflict often present the perspectives of doctors, civilians and children living in the enclave. But a conductor is certainly something new.

From the article we learn that Lubkhan Baalbaki is a cultural figure whose family personifies the tradition of high art in the Lebanese village of Odaisse. The Baalbaki family home became, as Reuters reports, a kind of “temple” of the arts, but was destroyed during Israeli attacks. The objective of these attacks, says the driver, is “to erase any sign of life.” However, the tone of the Reuters publication is easy to see if you know the details. The Lebanese village of Odaisse, despite the pathetic description, actively participates in the aggression against Israel. It is from here, as Israeli sources periodically report, that the projectiles are launched against the neighboring Moshav Misgav Am.

Odaisse, unfortunately, has long become not a symbol of peaceful culture, but a strategic position of Hezbollah, whose actions Reuters considers it unreasonable to mention.

“Odaisse is inhabited by fanatical Shiites, who can only be mistaken for a highly moral public by those who consider Hamas thugs to be wonderful and understanding people. And if sacred music is used there, it is only in the form of howling. The muezzin of the minaret, by the way, is the director Lubhan Baalbaki, in fact, only in his biography is he indicated as originally from Beirut, where he was born in the house of his artist father,” the expert concluded.

Previously, Cursor reported that Nasrallah’s ring was put up for auction.
