Madrid, another look is a program of cultural heritage tours of Madrid between October 17 and 20 organized by Madrid City Hall itself. It represents a way of discovering its history and architecture through workshops, tours, screenings and even free concerts.
This year, in addition, the event focuses on 150th anniversary of the birth of the architect Antonio Palaciosauthor of the famous Gran Vía temple and many other buildings, such as the Palacio de Cybele.
Registration for this event opens this Wednesday, October 2 at 10:00 a.m.. And, recurring advice in this type of programs, it is always advisable to go to the website early to be able to obtain the tickets, because they sell out very quickly.
The program includes up to 230 activities and some of the most notable are:
- Guided tour of Terminal T4.
- Route through the Malasaña neighborhood.
- Guided tour of the Athénée.
- Guided tour of the Capricho Bunker.
- Guided tour The Madrid that Antonio Palacios found.
- Guided tour of the British cemetery in Madrid.
- Guided tour Manuela Malasaña and other women.
- Guided tour of the IPCE (known as Crown of Thorns).
At the moment, October is accompanied by interesting cultural proposals, such as the celebration of Hispanic Heritage Day (October 12). Between October 4 and 13, you can enjoy more than 180 activities, including concerts, film screenings, workshops, exhibitions, parades or recitals. As the main novelty, this year the Cabalgata de la Hispanidad, which has representatives from all participating countries, will parade along Gran Vía with a total of six floats.

23 new establishments
One of the surprises that there will be is the inclusion of 23 new institutions that will be for the first time in Madrid Otra Mirada, within the framework of MOM, which will allow you to see buildings such as the Auditorium of the Complutense University of Madrid. ; the House of Velázquez in Ciudad Universitaria; the Adanero, Santa Coloma and Marqués de Salamanca Palaces, respectively of the Ministry of Territorial Policy, the Consulate General of Italy and the BBVA Foundation; African and modern art museums; or the hotels Hospes Puerta de Alcalá, Fénix Gran Meliá, Innside Madrid Gran Vía and The Madrid Edition.
