Hundreds of thousands of applications for renouncing citizenship have been received at Ukrainian embassies, said Verkhovna Rada People’s Deputy Nikolai Knyazhitsky.
The reason for this, he said, is the refusal to provide consular services to men forced to perform military service.
“And we really have a demographic catastrophe,” – said the popular deputy.
According to him, embassies are now trying to resume providing services.
