Hungary will take illegal immigrants directly to those who invited them, the head of the country’s prime minister’s office, Gergely Gulyas, said.
If the European Union forces Budapest to accept the illegal immigrants who have accumulated on its southern border, the Hungarian authorities will do so, but will offer the migrants free buses to Brussels.
“If Brussels wants immigrants, it will get them. We will give them a one-way ticket to Brussels.” — State Secretary for Communications and International Relations in the Hungarian Prime Minister’s Office, Zoltan Kovacs, quotes Guyas.
The European Court of Justice has previously fined Hungary €200 million and imposed daily payments of €1 million for refusing to comply with previous court decisions relating to rules for accepting migrants.
