The Japanese company Nissan has just released a series of appropriate improvements in its hybrid electronic power technology. Presented in Europe four years ago, the system was developed to propose driving experience, which combined the acceleration and clarification of the electric car with the comfort of traditional refueling. Currently, the introduced changes are striving to increase their fuel efficiency and emissions along with the aforementioned work.

Hybrid technology E-Power provides 190 horsepower, which can increase to 204 in sports mode and use a gasoline engine present in the system for the production of electricity to an electric motor that always controls the wheels, as well as for loading batteries thanks to a regenerative brake device.

This leads to an instant response and soft driving, similar to an electric car, because, unlike traditional hybrids, there is no gearbox or complex connection to combine gasoline power with electric energy that moves the vehicle.

Nissan now makes various improvements in three main areas. As for the fuel consumption, on average it decreases to 4.5 liters per 100 kilometers in the WLTP cycle, the best numbers in its segment, according to models with a power of more than 160 horses. CO2 emissions in turn from 116 to 102 grams/km, a decrease by 12% compared to the current version.

As for comfort in the cab, it was possible to reduce the noise by 5.6 decibels with respect to the previous generation, which received a clarification similar to the elimination of the electric car, the Japanese company also notes.

In all this, we must add an increase in power by 10 kW or 14 hp. In sports mode, in addition to a lower cost of use for the user due to an increase of 5,000 km in service intervals.

E-Power is based on the modular unit of the 5 in 1 new development unit, which integrates the engine, generator, inverter, gearbox and factor in the compact and light block. In combination with improvements in the calibration of the engine and acoustic insulation, the system reduces both noise and vibration of work. Thanks to the recalculation of the components, the power of the electric motor increases to 150 kW, while the battery supports a capacity of 2.1 kWh.

Three -cylinder gasoline engine with a turbo and 1.5 liters applies the concept of burning Starc, patented Nissan, which increases thermal efficiency by stabilizing burning in the cylinder, which makes the propeller more silently and efficiently at low speeds, and also allows you to distribute with a variable compression. A larger new turbo was also installed so that when driving along the highway or on the highway, the rotation mode is reduced in 200 rpm, and a tangible noise in the cabin, therefore, is less.

With efficiency as a goal, the engineers reached additional improvements due to changes to the lubricant 0W16, which reduces internal friction. Clients will also evaluate newer services that were extended from 15,000 to 20,000 km.

As a result of all the changes introduced, the new E-Power generation distributes 16% less consumption in real conditions, an indicator that remains 14% in a particular case of driving on the highway.

With a real autonomy of more than 1200 km, electronic power technology exceeds the volume of traditional plugin hybrids with advantages that do not require a load cable or waiting until the car is completely loaded.

Improved connection

The new generation of the system will be available in Qashqai as of September. Nissan supervars will also benefit from a number of subtle improvements in related technologies, including Google’s integrated infotration, which provides access to Google cards, an assistant and a game store.

New functions include voice commands via Assistant Google, access to additional applications through Google Play, time forecasts in planned areas and stories about a trip to Nissan, which allows customers to easily record and share their favorite trips through the NissanConnect Services application.

Modifications apply to the more sophisticated functioning of the Propilot assistant, among other routes through improved multi -composed autonomous driver’s interfaces that allow more accurate control of both traffic and the environment.
