“It was clear that my confirmation was unfairly becoming a separate distraction from the work essential to the Trump-Vance transition”the former Florida lawmaker pointed out on social media. “There is no time to waste in a needlessly prolonged fight in Washington, which is why I will withdraw my name from consideration for attorney general,” he stressed.
Trump confirmed Gaetz’s withdrawal from the US attorney general nomination process.
