Alberto Núñez Feijóo was involved in a tense moment in the control session by not hesitating to confront the president of the Congress of Deputies, Francina Armengol. Everything happened after had to be interrupted for spending several minutes focusing his speech on judicial reform which favors the beliefs of ETA members.
Armengol interrupted the speech of the leader of the Popular Party to ask him to concentrate on the issue that was then under discussion, what is migrationn. “The appearance requested by your parliamentary group concerns immigration. We must all apply the Regulations,” he declared, referring to article 102.
However, far from sticking to the request of the President of Congress, Feijóo He confronted her. “The president spoke without time limit about the dignity of people entering Spain. I have the right to speak about the dignity of people Spaniards murdered by ETA. I have the right to do it and I will do it,” he assured.
Some words I counted on ovation from his bench, who did not hesitate to stand up to the applause. After that, the leader of the Popular Party continued his speech.
This is not the only moment of controversy in which the PP has been involved. Another of most notable moments what was experienced in the Congress of Deputies was when the “populars” decided to interrupt the appearance of Pedro Sánchez when they saw that Marimar Blanco had entered in the hemicycle.
At that moment, the PP deputies gave him a standing ovation, interrupting the president’s speech as a wink despite the “error” of supporting the rule that would allow 44 terrorists to be released from prison before the date set.
