The next session of the trial against Yadigar Ramiz oghlu Bilalov, accused of Article 178.3.2 of the Criminal Code (large-scale fraud), was held in the Baku Serious Crimes Court under the presidency of Judge Fakhri Mammadov.
According to “Unikal”, during the examination of the documents of the trial against Yadigar Bilalov it was revealed that the accused had not been convicted before. It was learned that the victim Ilgar Ibrahimov was not paid any amount of the 95 thousand manats of damages, while the other victim Khuraman Mammadova was paid 4 thousand manats of the 44 thousand 750 manats of damages. According to the indictment, Yadigar Bilalov received the mentioned amount from Khuraman Mammadova to bring 3.5 kg of gold jewelry from Türkiye.
In his final speech, the accused Yadigar Bilalov made the following statement: “Ilgar, you can complain about me to the police and I will complain about you to God. I have enough to buy in freedom. I ask you to take into account “The fact of that I have two small children in my care. My brother also died in military service. I have helped a family with six children. “I want to pay the money.”
Two people were recognized as victims in the criminal case: Ilgar David oglu Ibrahimov and Khuraman Madat gizi Mammadova. Yadigar Bilalov defrauded the first person of 95,000 AZN and the second of 44,750 AZN. It turned out that Yadigar Bilalov was engaged in gold trading in Moscow department stores. The victims were also gold traders.
The judge announced the end of the judicial investigation and promised to speak to prosecutor Tural Yagubov. The prosecutor made an accusatory speech and asked that Yadigar Bilalov be sentenced to 8 years in prison.
The accused Ilgar Ibrahimov informed the court that he had not reconciled with the victim and wanted to know where she was hiding the amount of more than 2 million manats. Another victim, Khuraman Mammadova, said that she reconciled with Yadigar Bilalov and has no complaints or demands from him.
After the speeches, the judge announced the sentence. According to the sentence, Yadigar Bilalov was sentenced to 7 years in prison.
