IBA Champions League: each of Azerbaijan’s boxers won

The IBA Night of Champions was held for the first time in Azerbaijan.

Oku.Az informs that the Azerbaijan Boxing Federation has published information in this regard.

On a night witnessed by several federation officials, foreign guests and numerous fans at the National Gymnastics Stadium, Sarkhan Aliyev (71 kg, Azerbaijan) and Monkh-Erdene Uranchimeg (Mongolia) entered the ring first. The six-round fight ended with a confident victory for the Azerbaijani boxer.

After the winner of the World Championship, European champion Nijat Huseynov (51 kg) entered the fight. Fighting national team member John Zulueta (Philippines) defeated his opponent. He also recorded a 6-round bout.

On the evening held within the framework of the centenary of the Azerbaijan Boxing Federation, Mahammadrasul Majidov (+92 kg) brought another joy to the fans. At the end of 6 rounds, our three-time world champion was stronger than the Kazakh Nursultan Amanjolov.

Mahammad Abdullayev continued the success of his peers. He defeated Christian Salcedo (Colombia), winner of the world championship fighting at +92 kilograms. Abdullayev recorded Azerbaijan’s fourth victory at the IBA Night of Champions by recording the 8-round match.
