THE Association of Electric Vehicle Users (AUVE) recognized Iberdrola’s public charging application as the best in the sector. The award was collected by Ivan Pagazaurtunduaresponsible for smart mobility technology at Iberdrola, at the Moveo electric vehicle fair, at the Oviedo Exhibition and Congress Center.
Iberdrola’s public charging app provides access to more than 12,000 charging stations in Spain, of which 7,600 are operated by the company, and 100,000 charging points in Europe. It has more than 250,000 registered users who have already exceeded one million recharges in the Iberdrola charging point network during the year 2024.
With a rating of 4.5 out of 5 on iOS and Android, the Iberdrola Public Recharge app is already the highest rated among the charging apps in the energy sector. The app allows individual and business customers to easily manage their recharges, make reservations, plan routes, contract savings plans, consult data on current and previous recharges and even manage the charging station at home.
Iberdrola leader in public charging
Currently, Iberdrola is the most extensive public charging network in Spain, both public and private. Its public network already reaches the aforementioned 7,600 operating points. In the residential and business sectors, there are more than 40,000 private charging points. In total, they are already 50,000 points.
As part of its commitment to sustainable development and the environment, Iberdrola launched its Sustainable Mobility Plan through electrification. Its aim is to create a network of charging points covering the whole of Spain so that electric vehicle users can travel throughout the country and charge their cars only using the company’s network.
