US Senator Lindsey Graham has warned allied countries that their leaders’ statements regarding the International Criminal Court’s (ICC) decision on the arrest of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Galant will have serious consequences for them.
“I want to inform all “allies” (Canada, Great Britain, Germany, France) that if they support the decision of the Hague court, we will impose sanctions on them. Did you see what little Justin from Canada said? Should that be his punishment? Graham said.
He also noted that the United States will destroy the economies of these countries, adding that if they fail, the United States will be next in line.
As previously reported, US President-elect Donald Trump’s administration is considering imposing sanctions against the ICC after the court decided to issue arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Galant.
Previously, Kursor wrote that the ICC issued arrest warrants for Benjamin Netanyahu and Yoav Galant. These decisions come in response to allegations of war crimes and crimes against humanity that were allegedly committed during the conflict in the Gaza Strip.
The move raises many questions about the implications it could have for Israel and international relations in general.
