IDF airstrike on Masyaf: media reports new details

Media outlets, citing sources in Syria, have reported new details about a recent airstrike allegedly carried out by the IDF in the Syrian city of Masyaf.

This was reported by the Alexey Zheleznov Telegram channel.

During the operation, Israeli helicopters reportedly dropped the paratroopers using rappelling ropes.

IDF unmanned aerial vehicles are also reported to have been actively involved in neutralizing the area of the attack.

During a shootout with Syrian troops, three Syrian soldiers were killed. In addition, according to local reports, two Iranians were captured by the IDF and subsequently taken to Israel for interrogation.

Earlier, Kursor reported that Iran denies the IDF attacks on a weapons production site in Syria.

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Nasser Kanaani has denied reports that forces of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) were attacked by the Israeli army on the night of September 9.

According to Kanaani, the information about the attack on the Masyaf base in Syria is not reliable. He stressed that statements from several Israeli sources about an alleged attack on a facility associated with Iran are false.

Cursor also wrote that the IDF attacked a chemical weapons plant.

The IDF carried out numerous strikes on the outskirts of the city of Masyaf and attacked a chemical weapons production site.
