The Israeli Air Force carried out strikes against Hezbollah launchers and military infrastructure, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said.
“Some time ago, the Israeli Air Force attacked more than ten Hezbollah launch sites and military infrastructure facilities that posed a threat to Israeli citizens… in southern Lebanon.” – the army said in a statement.
The situation on the border between Israel and Lebanon has worsened since the start of Israeli military operations in the Gaza Strip in October 2023. The Israeli army and Hezbollah are firing daily at each other’s positions in areas along the border. According to the Lebanese Foreign Ministry, some 100,000 people have been forced to leave their homes in southern Lebanon due to Israeli shelling. The Israeli side reported that some 80,000 residents of northern Israel were in a similar situation.
