IDF forces have discovered a Hezbollah terrorist tunnel hidden inside a residential building in Lebanon.
To camouflage the passage, the building was filled with large amounts of sand and stones, which should have prevented IDF military intelligence from detecting signs of excavation and earth removal.
This camouflage method allowed the militants to hide a tunnel intended for secret movement.
Recall that the IDF press service previously reported that the Air Force carried out strikes against targets associated with Hezbollah in Syria. During the operation, carried out with the support of the intelligence wing, ammunition depots and the headquarters of Radwan’s forces were attacked, as well as the organization’s weapons division, located in the Al-Qusayr area, near of the Syrian-Lebanese border.
In recent months, the IDF has been actively working to reduce the supply of weapons coming from Iran through Syria to Hezbollah in Lebanon. Hezbollah’s arms division, responsible for storing and transporting weapons, has expanded its activities in Syrian territory, particularly in the village of al-Qusayr, and has formed a logistics network to transport military cargo.
The latest attack, aimed at weakening the infrastructure of Unit 4400, the Hezbollah unit responsible for moving weapons through Syria, also targeted several border crossings between Syria and Lebanon used for arms transfers.
The IDF emphasizes that the actions of Hezbollah, with the support of the Syrian regime, represent a danger to the civilian population of Syria and Lebanon, as the warehouses and headquarters of the terrorist group are located in densely populated areas, putting at risk local residents.
Previously, Cursor wrote that a new division would appear in the IDF.
