IDF killed Nasrallah’s son-in-law in Beirut: media

Media report that Wafik Safa, son-in-law of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah, was killed in an attack in Beirut.

This was reported by the Alexey Zheleznov Telegram channel.

According to preliminary data, the target of the attack in the Ras al-Naba area was Safa, who held key positions in Hezbollah, such as the organization’s defense minister and head of the security committee.

He was one of the influential figures in Lebanon’s political and military spheres, had extensive connections with the authorities and participated in negotiations, including over hostage issues.

Lebanese sources also reported two dead and nine wounded in the attack. The incident was the third Israeli attack on Beirut since the war began, again outside the Dahiya area, traditional Shiite territory. Previous attacks affected the Kohala and Albashura areas.

Wafik Safa, known as the “ghost of Hezbollah,” joined the organization in 1984 and has since played a central role working behind the scenes. He was responsible for maintaining Hezbollah’s relations with the Lebanese authorities and ensuring the organization’s presence in the government. Safa was also involved in the infamous 2008 prisoner exchange deal, during which he participated in the transfer of coffins of Israeli soldiers, leaving an unforgettable impression on many witnesses.

Previously, Kursor reported that Nasrallah’s deputy called for revenge against the “Zionists” in Lebanon.

Nasrallah’s deputy said that Israel’s actions are aimed at “the destruction of the people” and that Hezbollah does not fear pressure from the “Zionists.”
