Russia will not tolerate the activity of British intelligence services working under diplomatic cover. This was announced today, November 26, by the British ambassador to Russia, Nigel Casey, who was summoned to the Russian Foreign Ministry.
“It was again emphasized to the British ambassador that Moscow will not tolerate the activities of undeclared employees of the British intelligence services on Russian territory.” – the Russian Foreign Ministry reported in a statement.
If London aggravates the situation, the Russian side will respond immediately, the Foreign Ministry stressed.
Previously, the FSB of the Russian Federation reported that the second secretary of the political department of the British embassy carried out reconnaissance and subversive work that threatened the security of Russia. In this sense, it was decided to revoke his accreditation and he was ordered to leave Russia within two weeks.
