You will have heard it a thousand times, as a way of closing a discussion. Someone jumps up and says to you: “Well, if you love immigrants so much, put them in your house.” The little phrase, which I suppose they will already be selling cups of for breakfast, has become the song of the summer of this August. Do the test: write on your social network any comment critical of right-wing xenophobia, and you will receive dozens of very original responses: “If you love them so much (immigrants, menas, Moors …), put them in your house.” End of the conversation.
All this thanks to the atmosphere created by the right, which has shared the work: the right of the PP puts on the agenda the idea of ”migration crisis”, “migration emergency”, “avalanche”; the extreme right of Vox (and part of the PP) associates migration with crime and terrorism; and the moreultraright networks create hoaxes and spread hatred. A distribution of roles that encourages racists of always, but also new ones, whether by ignorance, by fear or by environmental pressure. All together cry against the invasion and the “goodism”: put them in your home!
