Fergus Group named Ignacio Sanguino as the hotel chain’s new director of expansion. Sanguino will be responsible for leading the company’s growth strategy, which plans to bill 200 million euros in 2025with a cumulative increase of 88% over the last three years.
The hotel chain plans to open three new hotels in Menorca, which will mark its entry into the Balearic island. In addition, it will manage the Hotel Punta Arabi in Ibiza, which will reopen its doors under the name Fergus Style Punta Arabí, going from a 2 to around 4 stars. Finally, the hotel Tal affiliated with Fergus A renovation will begin and will culminate in 2025 with its relaunch as the Arenal Tent.
This development is also reflected in the company’s infrastructure, which already has more than 3,000 workers and continues to grow constantly.
Recall that Sanguino was part of the Iberostar group, where he held the position of legal director for the EMEA market linked to the expansion area. He also led this area globally for Grupo Piñero and Viva Hotels.
This appointment is in addition to the work carried out by Javier Velatwho continues as Director of Peninsula Expansion, part of the Sanguino team, with the objective of ensuring an organizational structure aligned with the Fergus Group’s commitment to maintaining sustainable growth.
