President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev He sent a congratulatory letter to the President of the State of Palestine, Mahmoud Abbas.
AZERTAC reports that the letter says:
“On the occasion of the national holiday of the State of Palestine, I convey to you and all your people, in your person and on behalf of the people of Azerbaijan, my most sincere congratulations and best wishes.
Azerbaijan has always supported the freedom and independence of the Palestinian people. Our country supports the peaceful solution to the conflict based on the “two-state” principle with East Jerusalem as the capital of the State of Palestine. We will continue to provide humanitarian support to Palestine through the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East and bilaterally.
I believe that our friendly relations and cooperation based on good traditions will continue to develop successfully.
On this holiday I wish you good health, happiness, success in your work and peace and tranquility to the brother Palestinian people.
