Palma Futsal of the Balearic Islands beat Sporting de Portugal 5-4 inside Palau Municipal d’Esports de Son Moix in a difficult match, thanks to his efficiency in front of goal. The Mallorcans won their sixth consecutive victory at the Trofeu Ciutat de Palma and thus reached the end of the pre-season. Next week the League will begin after the World Cup dispute.
The match, a repeat of the Balearic club’s first UEFA Futsal Champions League final, began with a close tie and a goalless exchange of threats. In the sixth minute, Mateus Maia opened the scoring for Illes Balears Palma Futsal, making his debut as a goalscorer at Son Moix. Just a minute later, signed his doublewhich makes the score 2-0. Bruno Gomes was about to extend the lead, but the Portuguese goalkeeper, Bernard, prevented it.
A few minutes later, Bernardo himself scored a goal from the center of the field, make it 2-1 and give Sporting a boost, which was close to equality before the break, with a shot against the post Wesley. However, a counterattack initiated by Bruno Gomes who Rivillos concludedonce again distanced the people of Palma, who left with a 3-1 lead in the locker room.

With a final game full of tension, Illes Balears Palma Futsal was able to resist and, thanks to its efficiency from the first minutes, solid interventions from Luan Muller between the stickswon the sixth consecutive Ciutat de Palma Trofeu, accumulating eight victories in the twelve editions contested.
Illes Balears Palma Futsal is now preparing for the start of the season next week in front of Industrias Santa Coloma, with renewed confidence after a match which showed the competitive level of the team.
