Algerian Olympic champion Iman Khalif will begin his career in professional boxing.
Oku.Az reports that the Algerian newspaper “En Nahar” published information about it.
Khalif said he has received many offers, but has not yet decided which one to choose. He mentioned that he will become a professional very soon.
It should be remembered that due to the statements of the International Boxing Association (IBA) that he could not pass gender tests and that he has a male set of chromosomes, a scandal was generated around the participation of Khalif and Lin Yu from Taiwan in the Olympic Games.
The International Olympic Committee (IOC) defended the athletes and described the IBA inspections as illegitimate. Both boxers were Olympic champions.
