Footage of sewage pouring onto a road in the capital’s Nizami district has been circulating. The footage is taken from the intersection of Mehdi Abbasov and Rustam Rustamov streets in the district.
According to local residents, the dirty water overflowed and spilled onto the road due to a problem with the sewer pipe. The surroundings are full of stench.
They said that despite the fact that they have already been working in the area for 10 days, the process is moving slowly. Officials from the agency in question have been working for days, but have not yet obtained results.
In this regard, the Joint Service for Water Supply of Large Cities of OJSC “Azersu” was contacted.
The agency reported that repair and restoration work is currently underway at the accident site in Nizami district. Because the sewage pipe runs very close to the building, the repair work was complicated. Currently, the line is laid outside the building. The work will be completed in the coming days.
