In Azerbaijan, amendments are proposed to the law on animal protection.
The “Report” reports that today the bill was discussed in the Agricultural Policy Committee of the Milli Majlis.
It was stated that the project was prepared to improve the scope of animal protection in Azerbaijan, as well as to eliminate contradictions in legislation related to fines.
According to the amendments, persons who are guilty of violating legislation on the animal world, including when they treat animals cruelly, that is, when they mutilate them or die as a result of inflicting pain, suffering, torture, beatings and fights, and when cruel treatment is demonstratively demonstrated, including in the media, when they commit, promote such behavior or make open calls for such behavior and use materials containing such behavior for commercial purposes, they are responsible in accordance with the law.
The bill was recommended to the full Milli Majlis for consideration.
