Ismet Gayibov Secondary School No. 3 in Khachmaz district is in a state of emergency. The current state of the school is causing great concern to parents.
According to Baku.ws, large cracks in the walls of the building, broken and unusable doors and windows threaten the quality of education here.
According to parents, the presence of the school in these conditions directly affects the safety of children. There is a problem with heating in the classrooms during the winter months and it is difficult to study in the summer due to the lack of proper ventilation.
Local residents are demanding that relevant institutions urgently repair the school and create conditions for children to study safely and comfortably.
Regarding the issue, the Guba-Khachmaz Regional Education Department said that they are aware of the current situation at the school:
“In response to your inquiry regarding Ismet Gayibov Secondary School No. 3 of Khachmaz District, we inform you that we are aware of the current state of the school building and have informed the relevant institutions about it. It should be noted that the repair and construction of schools is carried out on the basis of the principle of rotation and priority.”
It was also noted that the main priorities of the department include strengthening the material and technical base of educational institutions under the Guba-Khachmaz Regional Education Department, their modern equipment, construction of new buildings and repair of existing ones:
“In the last academic year, 62 schools under the administration were renovated and new schools were built in the region and made available to students. Currently, more than 20 general education institutions are undergoing renovation. 8 school buildings under the administration were demolished and rebuilt.”
