The next criminal trial against Bahram Ibayev, accused of attempting to kill an acquaintance, was held in Baku.
According to Unikal, prosecutor Orkhan Kangarli announced the indictment in the trial presided over by judge of the Baku Serious Crimes Court Sabuhi Huseynov.
The investigation revealed that Bahram Ibayev made a comment about why his acquaintance Natig Huseynov did not greet him when he passed by in April last year.
The parties subsequently met and cleared up the misunderstanding between them.
However, Bahram Ibayev had to go to Goychay district for two months due to the death of his relative.
When he was in the district, he heard rumors about him that Natig took him away and punished him privately, that he paid attention to his actions when he saw him, apologized to him, and even kicked him out of the settlement for being careless.
The indictment states that he decided to kill Natig Huseynov with the intention of taking revenge on him in order to put an end to these rumours. Thus, on June 7, when Bahram was heading to the object located in the Sabunchu district of the capital, he accidentally saw Natig Huseynov there and stabbed him a total of 14 times.
Natig Huseynov was able to save his life because he actively resisted and ran to the cafe. He was also transported to the Sabunchu district hospital in time with the help of passers-by.
Bahram Ibayeva has been charged with Articles 29, 120.1 (attempted murder) and 228.4 (illegal acquisition and possession of firearms) of the Criminal Code.
