A student attacked with a knife in China’s Jiangsu province for failing exams, killing eight people and injuring 17, the Xinhua news agency reported, citing local police.
According to the agency, the tragedy occurred on Saturday afternoon at an educational institution in the urban district of Ising province.
“Eight people were killed and 17 injured in knife attacks at a school in Ising,” — the agency reports, citing the police.
It should be noted that the suspect in the attack, a 21-year-old student, was arrested at the scene. He also “confessed to having committed the crime.”
“The class of 2024 returned to school to vent their anger over not receiving their certificate of completion due to failed exams. … I was also not satisfied with the payment for the internship.” — says the agency with reference to a police statement.
