In the Colombian municipality of El Plateado, the explosion, according to preliminary data, injured between 14 and 17 civilians. The newspaper El Tiempo reported this on October 12.
According to the publication, a drug gang previously planned to launch a grenade from a drone on military personnel, but the explosives fell on a crowd of civilians.
The newspaper added that the military entered the village early in the morning of the same day. In turn, the gang puts pressure on them, as El Plateado serves as a corridor for drug transportation through the Micay Canyon to the Pacific coast.
