In Germany, 16 people were injured in a fire at a temporary accommodation center. This was reported by the German portal Tagesschau on November 23.
“As a result of the fire, 16 people were injured. While ten of them were shifted to nearby hospitals, the remaining six residents received outpatient care at the scene.” – says the publication.
It is clarified that the fire occurred in the city of Schleiden, on the territory of the Vogelsang complex, where a temporary accommodation center for refugees has been operating since 2016. In total, 380 immigrants lived in the shelter and 18 people were housed in the building that caught fire.
Local police arrested a 35-year-old downtown resident on suspicion of arson. Experts are carrying out checks and clarifying the circumstances of the incident, Izvestia clarifies.
