Much of the Karolabrücke bridge in Germany collapsed into the Elbe River.

The incident occurred on the evening of 11 September in Dresden. Part of the bridge with a pedestrian zone and tram tracks fell into the river. The cause of the incident is unknown.
As a result of the emergency, central heating supply lines covering the entire city were also damaged. The area around the bridge was cordoned off.
