An unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) was used for the first time in Great Britain to transport biomaterials.
Oku.AzThe newspaper “The Times” reported on this.
As the publication points out, thanks to the UAV the blood sample was delivered in two minutes, while with the traditional method, by car, it would have taken at least half an hour to transport the biomaterial.
Drone-assisted blood delivery will be carried out on a trial basis in London: drones will fly between two hospitals and deliver biomaterials to patients at high risk of bleeding.
