The head of the operating section of the eastern Jakarta firefighter and salvation (Gulkarmat) Abdul Wahid said that his party mobilized 10 units of fire engines and 50 employees for processing a fire.

According to reports, the fire occurred about 05.02, and the fire was successfully localized in a matter of minutes. Nevertheless, thick white smoke still covers several floors in an outpatient building. The fire service immediately mobilized the auxiliary unit to suck the remaining smoke in the building.
“We also have additional auxiliary units to eliminate smoke from a fire,” continued Abdul.
In the process of evacuation, as many as 75 people were successfully evacuated, including patients who were treated with wheelchairs or beds. Some patients were temporarily transferred to the ambulance department (ER) to study health conditions.
“There were no deaths, all patients were saved and immediately received additional treatment,” Abdul said.
