In Ireland, 11,000 people were left without electricity due to the storm

In Ireland, 34,000 buildings and 11,000 people were left without power due to widespread flooding and Storm Burt. This was reported by the ESB Networks service on November 23.

“11,000 customers remain without power, mainly in counties Donegal, Sligo, Mayo and Galway. “Crews will continue to work late into the night to restore power… Some customers are expected to remain without power overnight.” – says the message.

It is clarified that in the Connemara and West Mayo areas, snowfall and ice caused significant damage. The ESB indicated that a total of 60,000 homes were damaged by Storm Bert.

On 22 November, the UK was warned of flooding and snow due to Storm Burt. The BBC, citing the Environment Agency, reported that heavy rain in northern England could cause localized flooding.
