In Italy, a piece of wrapped banana sold for a fantastic price

A banana taped to a wall by Italian conceptual artist Mauricio Cattela sold for $6.2 million on Wednesday.

Oku.Az reports that this was reported on the page of the auction house “Sotheby’s” on the social network “X”.

The work was purchased by a collector from China, Justin San, creator of the TRON blockchain platform.

“I’m excited to announce that I just bought a banana. This is no ordinary piece of art. It’s a cultural phenomenon involving art, memes, and the cryptocurrency community. I’ll eat the banana in the next few days and it will. I know part of a unique artistic experience,” wrote Justin San “X” on his account.
