The report states that the strong wind that blew through the northern regions of the country on September 2 caused serious damage to the region’s electricity industry:
“As a result of the incident, electricity supply was cut off in some villages in the region. Subsequently, repair and restoration teams of OJSC “Azerishiq” and necessary goods were sent to the area. Within a few hours, electricity supply was restored in most of the settlements that suffered power outages.
“Due to the current weather conditions and extensive damage to infrastructure, the restoration of power supply in only three villages was delayed until the evening, but “Azerishiq” employees were able to restore power supply in these settlements as well.”
The institution appealed to consumers and asked them to report the accident or power outage they have experienced to the call center “199”, which operates continuously every day.
