The Junta de Andalucía preemptively evicted 3,000 people of around 1,000 homes due to the red rain alert. This was explained on Tuesday evening by the Minister of the Presidency, Antonio Sanz, of the Malaga Technology Park, near the Guadalhorce River, whose bank is the one with a high risk of flooding.

Preventive evictions took place in Álora, Cártama, Alhaurín de la Torre, Pizarra and in the capital Málaga. facing a more than probable overflow of the Guadalhorce river. The people concerned were taken to sports centers in each citywhere they will be taken care of by emergency services.
