The leading diplomat of Syria said that Damascus wants Moscow to be “on our side” during the first visit to the new government after the exile of the former president of the Syrian president Bashar al -Assad at the end of last year.

Russian President Vladimir Putin was accepted on Thursday by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Syria Assad al -Simim in the Kremlin, according to the SANA news agency, a meeting that emphasized the Kremlin’s desire to create working ties with the new leadership.

Before negotiations with Putin, Al Simban met with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, who emphasized that the Russian authorities “honestly want the Syrian people to overcome long -term friendship, all existing problems and have all existing problems.”

“The current season is full of various problems and threats, but it is also an opportunity to build united and strong Syria,” said Al Simban.

Assad was a Russian ally, and Moscow’s intervention, in order to support him ten years ago, abolished the course of the Civil War in Syria and retained Assad for his post until December last year.

Russia, which was concentrated on battles in Ukraine and supported only a small military extract in Syria, did not try to cope with the attacks of the rebels, but provided Alsade’s asylum after abandoning the country.

Without the name of Assad, Al Simbani called on Russia to support the process of “justice” of the country and said that Syria created the committee to consider earlier agreements with Russia.

Despite the fact that they were discovered in opposite aspects of combat lines during the civil war, the new rulers in Damascus, headed by temporary President Ahmed al-Saraa, accepted a realistic approach to relations with Moscow.

The Russian delegation visited Damascus in January, and next month Putin spoke with al-Saray, which the Kremlin called “constructive and business.”

Russia has retained its presence at its air and military bases on the Syrian coast, and the Kremlin expressed hope for negotiations on an agreement on maintaining a prison.

Moscow, as it is claimed, sent oil loads to Syria.

Syria Minister Muraf Abu Kasra accompanied Simban to his visit to Moscow and met with his Russian colleague Andrei Belusov.

They discussed the “joint action between the ministries of defense and the situation in the Middle East,” the Russian Ministry of Defense will say.

Speaking with journalists after negotiations on Thursday, Lavrov thanked the Syrian colleagues for measures that they take to ensure the safety of Russian citizens and Russian institutions in Syria.

“We confirmed our support to preserve unity, territorial integrity and independence of the Arab Republic of Syria, and we are ready to provide the Syrian people with all possible assistance in the reconstruction of the reconstruction after reconstruction. We agreed that we will continue our dialogue. ”

Al-Saraya thanked Russia for a “strong position in the abandonment of Israeli blows and repeated violations of Syrian sovereignty” after Israel’s intervention in clashes between Syrian government forces and armed groups of minorities.

On Thursday, Al Simbani criticized “Israeli’s participation in internal affairs” and said that he complicates attempts to resolve the conflict between different communities in Syria.
