The general director of ERSM Siberia LLC, Roman Bezrukov, accused in a major fraud case (part 4 of article 159 of the Criminal Code), tried to escape when he was detained, TASS reports.
According to the agency’s source, Bezrukov left the apartment by the stairs to the roof and was taken out by SOBR officers. The investigation will request his arrest.
Bezrukov was suspected of stealing almost 1 billion rubles from the Defense Ministry during the construction of a communications control center between 2021 and 2023, the agency wrote. RIA Novosti named a different amount – 2.5 billion rubles.
Under section 4 of article 159, he faces up to ten years in prison.
The company “ERSM Siberia” was established in November 2012, according to its website. The company operates in the field of architecture, engineering and provides technical advice in these areas. Among the clients are the Federal Grid Company, the operator of the Unified Energy System, etc. Bezrukov owns a 50% stake. The second half of ERSM Siberia is owned by the project management director. ERSM Siberia owes the Federal State Unitary Enterprise Main Directorate for Special Construction of the Ministry of Defense about 734 million rubles for unjust enrichment and losses during the construction of a dormitory for a military unit in the Khabarovsk Territory, according to the materials of the Moscow Arbitration Court.
