The court sentenced Evgeny Ryapolov to 13 years in prison for placing a homemade explosive device in the building of the Novosibirsk military registration and enlistment office in December 2023. This was reported by the FSB press service today, September 16.

“The Military Court of the Second Eastern District found E. Ryapolov guilty of committing these crimes, he was sentenced to a total term of imprisonment of 13 years, the first 3 years in prison and the remaining 10 years in a maximum security correctional colony. The convicted man was also fined 248,000 rubles.” – the department reported.

According to the case file, the man attempted to commit a terrorist act in order to prevent the conduct of a special military operation, but was unable to complete the attempt due to circumstances beyond his control. The explosive device was discovered on December 5 last year at the military registration and enlistment office.

The department said the previously convicted man was a member of a local cell of the right-wing radical movement banned in Russia.
