In the Paris suburb of Issy-les-Moulineaux, a hostage situation occurred in one of the local restaurants. According to BFMTV, the alleged attacker is the owner of the establishment, who, according to preliminary data, hires his own employees.

The area around the cafeteria is cordoned off by major police forces. Firefighters are also present at the scene. So far, the criminal has not made any demands and the exact reasons for his actions are unknown.

According to Le Figaro, the man barricaded himself inside the restaurant, holding “three or four” employees. It is not yet clear if he has a weapon, but his behavior is very concerning.

A large police force went to the scene and cordoned off the area. Law enforcement officials are negotiating, trying to convince the man to release the hostages and avoid tragic consequences.

Kursor previously wrote that a recent poll conducted for Channel 12’s Ulpan Shishi program showed that most Israelis consider the agreement with Hamas to release the hostages a top priority. According to the study, 69% of respondents were in favor of concluding an agreement with the terrorists, while only 20% believed that the focus should be on continuing the military operation in Gaza.

According to the survey, 52% of participants believe that the lack of agreement is due to political reasons, while 36% believe that the obstacles are objective.
