A three-month-old red panda cub has died in Scotland.
About this Oku.Az Reports with reference to “Sky News”.
According to information, the bear cub was scared and vomited during the fireworks on the occasion of the “Bonfire Night” event and died of choking on its own vomit.
According to volunteers, loud noises accompanied by bright flashes were heard near the bear cub’s home at Edinburgh Zoo. Apparently, he couldn’t even hide in his house because he was too afraid.
It should be noted that the bear, who recently lost her mother Djinger, survived thanks to the experienced and correct work of the volunteers.
Ben Sapple, deputy chief executive of the Royal Zoological Society of Scotland, has backed calls to ban the sale of firecrackers to the public. Fireworks, even at a distance, can still be heard by an animal that can detect low-frequency sound waves.
Volunteers point out that fireworks create fear and stress in pets, livestock and zoo animals. Therefore, they ask the authorities in Great Britain and Scotland to tighten the rules on the sale of fireworks.
