The price of fuel, diesel and gasoline in Spain continues its downward trend this week, which has already accumulated a reduction in the price of more than 9% since the beginning of July, and has reached new lows since the beginning of 2022.

The average price of both fuels started 2024 recording its first increases in three months, after accumulating one decline after another since the end of September 2023, which led it to finish last year at the lowest levels of year, totaling a price reduction of almost 15% for gasoline and more than 13% for diesel.
17.8 euros cheaper to refuel
At current prices, filling an average 55 liter tank of diesel costs around 74.91 eurosor around 17.87 euros less than on the same dates last year, when it amounted to around 92.78 euros.
For gasoline vehicles, refueling an average tank (55 liters) currently represents an expense of around 81.51 euros, or around 14.85 euros less than the same week in September 2023, when the price was of 96.36 euros.

With these levels, the price of 95 unleaded gasoline in Spain remains below the average of the European Union, located at 1,615 euros per liter, and of the euro zone, with an average price of 1,664 euros.
In the case of diesel, the price in Spain is also lower than that of EU averageor 1,502 euros, and from the euro zone, where it has a price of 1,526 euros.
