In Spain, at least seven people are missing due to floods

At least seven people are missing in southern and eastern Spain due to flooding caused by heavy rain. The Guardian newspaper reported this on Tuesday, October 29.

“Emergency services, supported by drones, search for six people missing due to flooding” – says the publication in reference to emergency services.

At the same time, police in the city of Alcudia, in the eastern region of Valencia, said they were searching for the truck driver who disappeared the previous day.

Furthermore, as a result of the catastrophe, a high-speed train with 276 passengers derailed in Andalusia; no one was injured.

The publication adds that dozens of people were rescued in Álora using helicopters.

To date, the state meteorology agency AEMET has declared a “red” alert level in the Valencian Community and a second higher alert level in some areas of Andalusia, Izvestia clarifies.
