In the Spanish province of Valencia, where more than two hundred people were victims of flooding, they threw mud and insulted King Felipe and Queen Letizia of Spain, as well as Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez.
The monarch, his wife and the prime minister arrived in the disaster-stricken region, where they were greeted by aggressive local residents. They threw mud at the guests while shouting “Shame!”, “Get out!”, “Murderers!”, “Sánchez is a son of a bitch!”
The mounted police were called in to appease the outraged.
Now many Spaniards reproach the country’s authorities for their inaction to save people and the lack of information on the eve of the flood.
