In St. Petersburg, a traffic police car ran over a cyclist

In St. Petersburg, a police car hit a cyclist and the woman was hospitalized, the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the city and the Leningrad region reported.

“The team of the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Tosnensky district of the Leningrad region, driving a service vehicle with flashing lights and a sound signal, passing through the intersection of Obukhovskaya Oborona Avenue and Shelgunov Street at a prohibited traffic light, hit a cyclist who was riding on a bicycle at a pedestrian crossing at a permitted, non-dismantled traffic light.” – says the message.

The department added that police provided first aid to the injured woman and called a medical team, which took her to the hospital. An internal investigation into the incident is underway.
